Dear Chamber Members,
I am writing my first letter to our members as new President for our Chamber and anticipate a wonderful
year.
First, I would like to thank the out going board of directors for doing a wonderful job and know their
services are well appreciated. In addition, to inform everyone, our elected Vice-President is Trilby McIntosh
and Treasurer is Carrie Grignon. As for myself, I am greatly appreciative of the nominations and votes for
President nomination and the shoes I am filling will be hard to fill. A big thank you to Ms. Debra Webster
for a job well done in the past.
I would like to thank our advisors, Wilmer Peters and Renee Mahkimetas, for their support and help. In
addition, I welcome all new members and anticipate many more new members to come.
In 2010, we continued with our annual event for Toys for Tots, pow-wow, and hayride and we appreciate
those who helped in any way with donations and volunteering. Our new events were the golf outing with
the next date for 2011 on June 17. Mark your calendars and polish your golf clubs as we will be sending you
more information as we plan ahead.
Fundraising events will also be planned in the upcoming agendas and any participation from our
members would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. You can contact our secretary, Kala
Wilber at our office number 799-6000. Also, please check out our new and updated website, http://

We were glad to see the big turnout at our annual meeting and dinner. The guest speakers were great and
thank you for everyone who donated door prizes. I am already looking forward to our next one next January.
We are in the process of putting together a newsletter that will be posted on our website to feature business
tips from our members. This would give everyone a chance to market their business and get possible new
business leads. So please start thinking on what you would like to submit and we will be contacting everyone
to begin the process of gathering his or her information.
We are also in the process of seeking new members and fill one vacant seat on our board. So if your are
interested, your expertise is more than welcome and please contact us immediately. Our meetings are held on
the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 here at the Menominee Business Center.
